If your property has an on-site treatment system, your local council requires it to be serviced regularly. It can feel like one more thing to remember, but there are good reasons for it.
Why servicing matters
- Health and safety. A poorly maintained system can release untreated wastewater onto your property.
- The environment. Regular checks protect groundwater, creeks and soil.
- Your investment. Small issues caught early cost far less than major repairs or a replacement.
How often?
Treatment systems need servicing every three months. After each service, a maintenance report must be lodged with your local council.
What a service includes
We check that your system is treating wastewater properly, inspect the pumps, aerator, alarms and irrigation, top up disinfectant where needed and fix any issues we find. Then we lodge the report with your council through the NSW portal for you.
Simple, fixed-price plans
Council reporting is included in our fixed-price servicing fee. Every new installation comes with a 12-month service agreement, and after that you can choose a 3-year fixed-price plan or a rolling agreement.
